ABOUT ME
My name is Martina Dacejova and I am a Slovak native speaker living in the United Kingdom.
I am a Freelance Translator and Interpreter from English to Slovak / Czech and from Slovak / Czech to English.
I hold a BA Honours Degree from the Comenius University in Bratislava and a Metropolitan Police Test Certificate for Interpreters.
I am also an Associate Member (ACIL) of the Chartered Institute of Linguists.
I have 11 years of experience in translating and 3 years of experience in interpreting.
The translation projects I have undertaken include dozens of international project applications,
subtitles for several films, numerous legal documents, financial and medical translations and editing, some articles on art, various presentation leaflets and a couple of internet sites.
I have interpreted for solicitors, law firms, social workers, councils, in courts and within the NHS.
In addition to consecutive face-to-face and telephone interpreting, I have also provided conference interpreting, simultaneous and whispered interpreting.
